She gives sufficient background information in such a deft manner so that the reader feels a near expert by the time the book is finished without ever seeming plodding. Fidel Castro never did that and he has jailed and murdered more people than the rest of Latin America combined. You can see the details in inking, and in colouring , the gradations and texture of the water colour.
