This is the first of this series I've listened to, but I plan to go through the entire library if this is representative of the overall quality.. I can't remember the title of that book, but the recommendations in that book read like a catalog for the acne-treatment/age-defying/blah-blah-blah products that the dermatologists were or had been associated with. In our American culture we typically view death with fear and so avoid contemplating it as much as possible. I really enjoyed it. I noticed that many of my fellow students who took the class on the teachings of the west, seemed to have their copy of the book with them. This is a very worthwhile read.. (Well, the second starts 9 months after the first ends but still within the newlywed phase of marriage.) I do believe they should have been presented as separate short stories rather than a single novel.. Yes, the exercises are a bit more challenging, and responses for some of the exercises require a bit of room for the student to fill in.
