Kaye wrote this book, in part, as a response to the book, Die Broke. Army Airborne Infantry because I felt very strongly it was my duty having come from a family where most of my uncles and my Dad had served in World War II; in fact, my Dad also served in Korea.When I had been in college, I was also enrolled in ROTC for 2 1/2 years, so when I reported into basic training, I was also selected to be a platoon leader because of my ROTC training just like the Michael Shannahan main character in the book. Grandfather bear tells Short Tail to go back and show his people the dance so they can do it also. No trouble. Now Teresa has no more race team and is paying for the upkeep of a museum that is only open for three hours three days a week. This book is loaded with pictures so clever, you will be just as surprised as your child when you lift the flap to see what's underneath. I love this book; it's a great bedtime story as it is so soothing. The book offers a wide variety of both her own work and classic period pieces. Heroes is frequently funny, but is not slapstick like Batman (1966). Thanks, Dave.P.S.: At the end of his book, he threatens to write a follow-up that will articulate his concepts more thoroughly.
